I’m Kyara, a proud two-time Howard University graduate, Licensed Master Social Worker, and Houston native who believes healing works best when it’s equal parts compassion, humor, and real-life honesty. Over the past six years, I’ve worked everywhere from dialysis centers to clients’ living rooms, helping people navigate life’s biggest curveballs—whether that’s managing a chronic illness, processing grief, tackling stress, or figuring out the next step forward.

My work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care and focused on meeting people exactly where they are; sometimes in the middle of a good cry, and occasionally somewhere between “I’m fine” and “please pass the tissues.” I specialize in supporting individuals through stress, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and those “what now?” moments that life tends to throw our way.

When I’m not advocating for clients or untangling the mysteries of community resources, you can find me traveling, curled up with a good book, laughing at a comedy show, experimenting with DIY projects, or rearranging my home décor for the tenth time “just to see how it looks.” I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can take a deep breath, speak freely, and—yes—maybe even laugh through the tears.
